Croisière en catamaran
This trip is 1 hour and 15 minutes. It is great way to experience Monterey Bay from the water. If you would like to spend more time on the water, look into booking a private experience on one of our keelboats. During this experience, we will enjoy a short harbor tour for a chance of sighting sea otters, seals and sea lions. After exiting the harbor, we will set sail and enjoy cutting through the water with no engine noise! This is an eco-friendly and exciting way to see Monterey Bay and a piece of the Pacific Ocean. We serve a complimentary alcoholic beverage to passengers over 21, and we have non-alcoholic options too! Although we cannot guarantee marine mammal sightings, we frequently see seals, sea lions, sea otters, and sometimes whales and dolphins! Also know, you can save $10 per ticket by booking through our Sail Monterey office or website.

La traite de vache, un moment de joie et de détente

Petting, brushing, or just hanging out with them. *Next we take you through what we feed our animals and how we care for them. Découvrez le soufflage de verre
While visiting the artist's studio, you learn the process of blowing glass, and basic glassblowing techniques including taking a gather, marvering, blow'n-cap, and shaping glass. The workshop is very hands-on, focused on the process instead of the final product. With experienced glass artists, you make 2 to 3 small objects such as a paperweight, ornament/float, and/or drinking glass, to take home. Glassblowing is a team work. We strongly recommend to experience this with another person. If you are solo, you may still book a spot. However, the single booker should expect to finish earlier. Best to wear a cotton top and cotton pants. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Please bring a pair of sunglasses with you. Be prepared to be hot and sweaty, and to have fun! BYOB if you like. We can be flexible. Feel free to reach out to us to schedule a specific date and time or a private group if you don't see it on our calendar. Other things to note... Your pieces will be ready to be picked up in 24 hours. Shipping available with additional fee.
Les dinosaures de l'Utah, une visite privée
We'll begin with an in-depth tour of our Past Worlds gallery and end with a behind-the-scenes visit inside our Paleo Lab. In the gallery, we will talk about dinosaurs found in Utah (some known exclusively from our own collections) and explore the ecosystems and adaptations that make these animals so fascinating. Inside the Paleo Lab, we will get a sneak peek at the projects that our paleontology volunteers are working on and learn about the techniques used to prepare our most recent discoveries. The tour is for adults and teens 13 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum number of participants is 10. Admission is complementary with purchase of the experience. Admission fees cannot be deducted from the package price. Tour length is approximately 2 hours or so, depending on group discussions. Face masks are optional and not required.
Apprenez à confectionner une canne à pêche en bambou
A fly rod is built in the same way that bamboo grows. From the bottom, or butt, to the tip. You will remove a node from a 12' culm of Tonkin bamboo, using a small hack saw, as the first step in seeing how a custom 8' node-less fly rod is made. Then you will split one of 72 splints needed to form the tip or butt of the rod with a hammer and knife. You will scarf one splint to shape it for gluing. Fancy planing, shaping the cork handle, and silk wrapping will be demonstrated along with the final varnish dip. At the end of the class you are invited to cast a variety of rods that I have made with a casting lesson on the "green river" of my lawn. In 2 hours you will see how the rod is made but you will not build a completed rod -- my first rod took me 100 hours. Other things to note Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. If you have a favorite fly reel that you want to try on a finished rod bring it along.

À vivre une fois dans sa vie

Vol au-dessus du Grand Lac Salé
On this unique, adventurous experience you will get a a birds eye view of The Great Salt Lake that puts into perspective the scale and beauty of this top Utah attraction. What would take a full day to see by car, we will squeeze into an action packed 40 minute flight. The GSL is an iconic landmark and you will see views that have been constantly evolving since it’s creation during the Bonneville flood over 14,500 years ago! One of the benefits of visiting the lake by air is we have no negative ecological impact. The sensitive eco-system is able to grow and evolve as if we were never there. You will see many of the animals that call the Great Salt Lake home such as antelope, buffalo, deer, coyote, and even eagles. Upon meeting at the airport I will escort you to our trusty steed, a vintage Cessna Bush-plane straight out of Alaska. The airplane we will be using is one of the greatest tools for exploring the local area and you are guaranteed a flight you will never forget. After a quick safety briefing we will get in the plane, buckle up, and begin our adventure. Half of the flight will be up high with expansive views, and the other half will be "low and slow" where you will feel like we are in a flying car. With four seats there is room for the pilot and three passengers each flight.

Kayak et bioluminescence
BIOLUMINESCENCE KAYAK TOUR $140 per person The Bioluminescence Tour gives us a surreal experience. Living organisms produce light, causing the water to glow and sparkle like a cosmic mirror. Any motion in the ocean waters accents this offering, a dance of light as we paddle in darkness. In our experience a kayak tour offers the best way to experience this magic as we move through the night in silence, also motorboats can harm the plankton which are a keystone species for ocean health. Our focus is on safety and fun as we witness the ocean in a unique way that few have had the opportunity to enjoy. The silence opens our senses as we glide through the water almost as if we are flying – a beautiful way to connect with the mysteries and wonders of nature. Watch the ocean floor come alive below and around you, see the glow on the fish and seals. As the sunlight fades silhouetting the BC Coast Mountain range, bats swirl above, heron and other birds head to their roosting spots. Only a short distance from the Backeddy Resort we melt into the night behind the Sutton Islands, away from the lights on shore. We explore with our sensory awareness and encourage you to feel with an open heart. Things to note: See Metta eco experiences website for details, tour times will vary based on time of year. We provide updates on the exact times. Our tours provide a safe and fun adventure.
Découvrez l'astrophotographie dans les Rocheuses
Experience Colorado Astrophotography by taking breathtaking photos of the stars against the Rocky Mountains. The night photography tours are usually about 3 hours and begin within an hour of sunset. We have access to Colorado's greatest parks and know all the hidden back roads that have some of the most stunning views. Please look up moon phase and rise/set times. We can still go when the moon is out, it just dilutes the amount of stars captured, but we can get stars in any condition other than rain or snow. I have a Toyota 4 runner that fits 6 guests and we go to Guanella pass. You can bring your own DSLR camera or we will provide one for you. If you bring your own, please email us so we can make sure you have the right type of lens you need for optimal use. We have been recognized as one of Thrillist's top 50 experiences in the world as well as recognition from Matador magazine, and Voyage magazine. We drive about 30-40 min into the darkness, then spend another 30min getting cameras on their best settings. Then we take amazing photos and ask any questions about the camera or astronomy that may come up. We stay close to the car, and I teach you how to take optimal photos. We return home with amazing photos. Other things to note If mountain driving scares you, just let me know and we can keep it to paved roads.

First we will climb into the saddle at the stables and conduct a brief riding lesson for the inexperienced riders. No need to worry if you are a beginner, we have years of experience and reserve the best trained horses for our guests. Our ride will take us to the mouth of a beautiful slot canyon where we will dismount and walk a short distance into the canyon. Following this stop, riders will again get in the saddle and ride back to the starting point. You will be led by a local guide with years of horse riding experience that will also share the rich cowboy history of small town Orderville that continues to live on today. We hope all of our guests are able to have an experience that is long lasting and impactful. We believe this is achieved when we can connect with guests in Entertaining, Educational, and Emotional ways. This is a great activity that is one of our most popular among guests. Don't miss your chance to horseback ride in East Zion! Saddle Up!
