Great stay. Everything perfect, the match between an old building and modern times is very well balanced. Felt like home. Very good breakfast with the food competing with the view. Amazing friendly staff, always available to go an extra mile to help passing an effortless feeling and friendship. The village is really beautiful, although the music festival brings to it a very special environment it’s really worth to visit anytime. We will be back, if not before, next year around same time with similar purpose planning to stay here again :) We may have started a tradition. Highly recommended! Sílvia & Luís

The Marvao location and history is a masterful fate of magnificent engineering. Absolutely spectacular castle and walled village. The hotel was just lovely. Wonderful restaurant, perfect atmosphere and the staff extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Perhaps the most beautiful location we have stayed in Portugal, and we have seen a lot of places. Amazing pool with view, 2000 year old olive tree, and the cloister is practically a medieval museum. The hosts were super kind and helpful. Our stay was AMAZING

Our stay at Casa de Arvore was so so lovely. Joaquim was very friendly and helpful and we had everything we needed. He went out of his way to make us comfortable. The building and room was very cosy and, oh my goodness, that view. It’s got the best view of anywhere I’ve ever stayed. It was amazing. Great place, great host. We will definitely be back.
